Impress Print is a locally owned and operated business and has been for over 100 years. We offer an ‘under one roof’ printing service with a multi colour printing press and a digital printing service.

But what’s our story?

Originally operating as North West Post Printing Services, from Wenvoe Street in Devonport since 1887, North West Post Printing Services printed the local newspaper of the day. In 1906, Mr HJ Richmond bought the business and started printing the paper as a daily. A few ownership and name changes over the years including The Coastal Printery, Richmond Print and Sons. Finally in 1989, being bought by Colin and Cate Arnold and changing the name to Richmond Concepts and Print.

In 2009, Richmond Concepts and Print bought local printing business HW Inprint and incorporated this business and its equipment into the existing location. 2012 saw Richmond Concepts and Print take ownership of Ulverstone Press and the business has continued to service those existing clients.

July 2013 bought about a change of business name for both Richmond Concepts and Print and Ulverstone Press to Impress Print encompassing two locations along the coast, Ulverstone and Devonport. Impress Print extends and services the Northwest Coast of Tasmania as well as other areas of Tasmania and parts of the mainland of Australia including Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia.

There are also 4 new dynamic business partners who have entered into the business to allow Impress Print to be able to grow, change and survive in this changing environment well into the next 100 years.
